Delores Pottery is partnering with Julie of Piedmont Clayworks and Outer Loop Arts to build a new wood kiln at Josh's Hope in North Durham!

This week we're putting together our metal support structure for the wood kiln.
We'll be cutting metal, drilling holes in the steel, lifting heavy pieces of metal into place and welding pieces together.
These metal elements are essential—they help the kiln maintain its shape through repeated firings as the bricks heat and expand, and they provide crucial stability for the kiln arch (roof).

If you’d like to be part of this exciting stage, we’d love your help!

Sign up below to volunteer—we’d be grateful to have you with us!
