Do’s and Don’ts
-
If you need to purchase a second bag of clay, take a photo of the QR Code to purchase on online. Additional bags of clay are $45 each and include all firing costs. You can also do this ahead of time.
-
-Open studio is for practicing and exploring new ideas. It does not come with instruction.
-
-Please start your clean up 10 - 15 minutes before the end of your time.
-
-Remember to wipe down your work area, put your bag of clay and tools away and cover your pieces before leaving.
-
-Cleaning is very important for the safety of the studio. Use a damp sponge to clean the floor around your wheel before you leave.
-
-Partially covering in progress pieces will result in bone dry pieces that are often unworkable. Double up on plastic if you need to to keep pieces soft until you return.
-
-Do Not leave towels or tools in the sink. Towels are not always provided.
-
-Place thick or large chunks of scrap clay in the clay recycle bins. Pouring thick throwing slip or scraps down the sink will result in clogging and flooding of our clay trap system.
